SportsOnBroad.com is a Philadelphia sports blog devoted to covering every aspect of Philadelphia sports. The site will focus on the four major teams - The Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers - but will cover anything newsworthy in this town. That includes covering the local colleges and the lesser teams as well. We will be posting both news items as well as original content with our views.
Our Mission
Our goal is to make this website the a one stop shop for all Philadelphia sports news. After reading our website, we hope that you will feel as though you are as up to date as possible with what is going on in Philadelphia sports. We also want to bring you that news with a little bit of attitude and humor.
About Our Name
When we sat down to come up with a name for our blog we wanted something that combined all of the Philadelphia sports teams - something they all shared. And what’s the end goal of every Philadelphia team? A parade down Broad St. to celebrate a championship. Broad St. leads you to the Sports Complex and SportsOnBroad.com will lead you to all of the Philadelphia sports news and views that you could ever want.
Who We Are
We are just a bunch of diehard Philadelphia sports fans who live and die with our Philly teams all year long. We’re not sports writers covering these teams hoping to get noticed by the national media and move on to the next gig. (However, if anyone likes what they see here and wants to pay us to cover our favorite teams on a full time basis, please, by all means contact us). We love our Philadelphia teams and wanted to get our opinions on them out there. We have a lot of ideas on how to fix the Philadelphia teams we all love and just hope that Mr. Reid, Mr. Heckert, Mr. Lurie, Mr. Holmgren, Mr. Stefanski, Mr. Amaro, etc have the sense to read this site so that their jobs becomes that much easier. We are here to help you gentlemen bring more titles to this town because the fans of Philadelphia deserve them. We will provide the answers. Will you listen?
